East Wind Lounge began with one unexpected moment: a single beginner Mahjong lesson that changed everything. I met Mahjong less than two months ago, sat down for my first class, and walked out completely hooked. The game clicked instantly- the tiles, the strategy, the pace, the community around the table. It felt like discovering something I didn’t know I’d been missing.

Two weeks later, I had a dream about creating a place dedicated to the game. Not just a room with tables, but a storefront built around connection, learning, and the kind of social energy that only happens when people gather face‑to‑face. That dream turned into action, and East Wind Lounge opened its doors.

East Wind Lounge is now a Mahjong‑centered social club where people come to learn, play, relax, and belong. We offer beginner classes, open play sessions, themed events, and a welcoming environment for anyone curious about American Mahjong- whether you’ve never touched a tile or you’ve been playing for years. Our focus is simple: all things Mahjong, supported by a community that enjoys slowing down, sitting together, and sharing the table.

The Lounge is designed to be approachable, comfortable, and community‑driven. It’s a place where new players feel supported, experienced players feel at home, and everyone gets to enjoy the rhythm of a game that blends skill, luck, and camaraderie. What started as a spark of curiosity has grown into a space built for connection- a storefront born from passion, purpose, and a game that brings people together.

East Wind Lounge is more than a place to play. It’s a place to gather.
